Bad Bunny returns 'home' to close tour, bringing 'hope and strength' to Puerto Rico

Global music superstar Bad Bunny has returned to his native Puerto Rico to wrap up his record-breaking world tour, delivering a powerful message of hope and strength to his home island. Performing at the Hiram Bithorn Stadium in San Juan, the artist expressed profound appreciation for being back in Puerto Rico after traveling the globe.

"We have had the privilege of singing, dancing, and playing all over the world. Countries we never imagined we would be in, and although I am grateful for that, I had a blast, I had a good time, I won't lie to you, there is nothing like being here in Puerto Rico," Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, known as Bad Bunny, told the ecstatic crowd. His homecoming concert featured a lineup of his biggest hits, including 'Callaita,' 'El Club,' 'Veldá,' ‘Titi me preguntó,’ and 'La Neverita.' He also shared the stage with fellow artists Farruko, Arcángel, and Ñengo Flow for several collaborations.

Bad Bunny seized the opportunity to voice strong opposition to the controversial 'Esencia' luxury tourism project, a development he described as a deliberate attempt to manipulate emotions and facilitate the sale of the island piece by piece. He explicitly called for the resignation of Puerto Rico's governor, Jenniffer González, aligning himself with local protests against the project.

The tour, which has captivated audiences worldwide with Puerto Rican culture and rhythms, has achieved unprecedented commercial success. Notably, it set historical box office records without even including a stop in the United States, underscoring Bad Bunny's immense global appeal and the significant impact of his music. The concert also featured performances by Chuwi, a Puerto Rican band that collaborated with Bad Bunny on his album, and included traditional Puerto Rican music elements, such as the cuatro instrument played by José Eduardo Santana.
