Bahrain accuses Iran of launching "deliberate" new offensive against civilian targets

Bahrain's military announced on Sunday that its air defense forces successfully intercepted and destroyed multiple Iranian missiles and drones aimed at civilian targets within the kingdom. The Bahrain Defence Force's General Command characterized the incident as a "deliberate" offensive, which reportedly followed Iranian actions against Kuwait.

In a statement, the Bahraini military asserted that its air defense systems engaged and neutralized the "treacherous Iranian aerial attacks" with "unwavering determination and a high combat readiness." Following the engagement, all military arms and units were placed on "maximum alert" to safeguard the small Gulf nation. Residents were urged to exercise caution and avoid approaching any suspicious debris from the downed projectiles.

The Revolutionary Guard of Iran has reportedly resumed attacks on bases with U.S. presence in the Persian Gulf in response to the U.S. administration's move.
