Bandung Barat Regent Threatens Dismissal for Officials in Position Trading Scheme

Bandung Barat Regent Jeje Ritchie Ismail has issued a stern warning against the illicit practice of selling government positions within the local administration. Ismail declared that any official found to be involved in such transactions would face dismissal, leaving no room for tolerance.

If anyone knows or receives information about the sale of positions or being enticed with money for a certain position, please report it to the regional government, the Inspectorate, Polres Cimahi, or the Prosecutor's Office. We will take firm action, there is no tolerance.

To combat these corrupt practices, the Bandung Barat regional government, in collaboration with law enforcement agencies, has established a special task force named 'Bandung Barat Berbenah.' This initiative involves the Cimahi Police, the Prosecutor's Office, and the Inspectorate, all working together to oversee the processes of rotation, mutation, and promotion of civil servants.

We want a government that is transparent, professional, accountable, and certainly free from corruption and the sale of positions, whether in rotation, mutation, or promotion.

Ismail stressed the administration's commitment to transparency, professionalism, accountability, and freedom from corruption. He specifically addressed rumors of individuals using his name to secure positions, unequivocally stating that such actions are false and will not be tolerated. The regent urged anyone with information about position trading or bribery to report it to the local government, the Inspectorate, the Polres Cimahi, or the Prosecutor's Office for decisive action.
