Hundreds of students from various universities in Bandung, Indonesia, gathered at the West Java DPRD building on Monday, June 15, 2026, to voice their concerns. West Java Police Chief Inspector General Pol Rudi Setiawan reported that the demonstrations, held on Monday, June 15, and Wednesday, June 17, proceeded peacefully and smoothly. He stated that joint forces from the police and military provided security and support to the students. "We, from the Polrestabes and Kodim, are providing services to the students so they are safe, not infiltrated by provocateurs, and comfortable because we are protecting them all," he said on Wednesday evening.

The police chief expressed hope that the peaceful demonstrations would continue to contribute to West Java's stability. He assured that his department and other agencies would maintain security for any future student protests. "Please use your democratic rights well, according to regulations.
