Bang & Olufsen appoints Italian with Gucci past as new CEO

Danish audio company Bang & Olufsen has appointed Gianfilippo Testa as its new chief executive officer, signaling a new chapter for the luxury brand.

Testa, an Italian national currently residing in London, brings a wealth of experience from the high-fashion industry. He has held significant leadership positions at renowned luxury houses such as Gucci and Fendi. Most recently, he served as the CEO of Alexander McQueen, where he spearheaded major commercial initiatives and guided the company through periods of transformation.

His appointment follows the departure of former CEO Kristian Teär in January, who stepped down after the board determined a need for new leadership. Bang & Olufsen stated that Testa's background aligns with the company's strong innovation culture and its unique position at the intersection of technology, design, and craftsmanship.

Testa expressed his enthusiasm for the role, stating, "I am honored to become part of the company and look forward to working closely with the board, management, employees, partners, and customers worldwide to build on these strengths and realize Bang & Olufsen's full potential." He is expected to relocate to Denmark.
