Bank Muamalat Introduces Women's Protection Plan and Digital Inheritance Calculator

Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad has introduced two new Islamic financial solutions aimed at enhancing inclusivity and financial literacy. The initiatives, launched during the Terengganu Financial Literacy Carnival 2026, include M-Zahra Takaful MyLadies, a specialized Takaful protection plan for women, and a Digital Faraid Calculator for Islamic inheritance distribution.

M-Zahra Takaful MyLadies is designed to cater to women's needs across different life stages, offering financial protection, medical coverage, savings, and legacy planning. It comes with five distinct packages, Safiya, Amara, Rifa’ah, Namaa, and Maryam, with contributions starting as low as RM50 per month, making it accessible to a wider audience. As a symbolic gesture, Bank Muamalat also presented donations to four single mothers' associations in Terengganu to support women's empowerment efforts.

Complementing the Takaful plan, the Digital Faraid Calculator was developed in collaboration with As-Salihin Trustee Berhad. This digital platform is intended to help the Muslim community easily, quickly, and accurately calculate the initial distribution of inherited property according to Faraid principles and Syariah law. The bank hopes this tool will improve understanding of estate management and encourage early, organized legacy planning.

Datuk Khairul Kamarudin, President and CEO of Bank Muamalat, emphasized the growing role of women in families and the economy. He stated that the bank believes every woman deserves financial protection to support their aspirations and future security. He added that M-Zahra Takaful MyLadies is more than just a protection product; it's a comprehensive solution understanding modern women's life journeys and needs. The Digital Faraid Calculator reflects the bank's commitment to strengthening Islamic financial literacy through accessible digital solutions, noting that proper estate planning fosters fairness, family harmony, and peace of mind for heirs.
