Banten Ready to Pioneer Modern, Integrated Land Ecosystem

Governor Andra Soni declared Banten province ready to lead Indonesia's modern and integrated land ecosystem. He emphasized the province's strategic position, particularly the Tangerang Raya area, as a key driver for this initiative. The region's booming economy, investment, and development necessitate efficient land services that provide legal certainty.

Soni highlighted that creating a modern land ecosystem demands robust synergy among various parties. This includes collaboration between the central government, regional administrations, the National Land Agency (BPN), land deed officials (PPAT), businesses, and banks. The provincial government specifically urged the Association of Land Deed Officials (IPPAT) and regional governments to strengthen their partnership in transforming land services, which is crucial for development, investment, public service modernization, and transparent governance.

He described PPAT officials as vital pillars ensuring legal certainty in development, responsible for orderly and accountable land transactions that protect the public. "Let us make land the foundation of legal certainty, investment certainty, and development certainty," Soni stated. Meanwhile, IPPAT Chairman Hapedi Harahap noted that land service reforms are underway, with new policies enabling land ownership legality processing in as little as 10 working days. This acceleration is attributed to digital transformation, though full implementation across all regions will take time.

Soni expressed hope that the national meeting would yield concrete recommendations to strengthen IPPAT, enhance member professionalism, and improve land service governance. The article also notes that the digital transformation for land services was launched on August 17, 2026.
