Barca sign teenager Bisiwu from Club Brugge for $10m

Barcelona has secured the signing of teenage winger Jesse Bisiwu from Club Brugge for a reported fee of 8.5 million euros ($10 million). The Belgian prospect has agreed to a contract with the Spanish champions that runs until June 30, 2031.

Bisiwu, 18, is regarded as one of Belgium's most promising young talents. Barcelona highlighted his pace, strength, and dribbling ability, describing him as a winger with "a great future ahead." He has been a consistent player for Belgium's youth national teams and gained recognition at the 2025 UEFA European Under-17 Championship, where he was named in the tournament's Best XI after helping Belgium reach the semi-finals.

FC Barcelona and Club Brugge have reached an agreement for the transfer of Jesse Bisiwu, who signs up to be a blaugrana until 30 June 2031.

His youth career began at OH Leuven before he moved to Club Brugge's academy in 2020. Over the past two seasons, Bisiwu made 14 appearances in the UEFA Youth League, scoring three goals. He also gained senior experience with Club Brugge's reserve team, Club NXT, debuting in the Belgian Second Division in 2023 at age 15 and making 36 appearances.

Although Bisiwu has not yet featured for Club Brugge's first team, he is expected to join Barcelona's reserve squad to continue his development. He joins a list of Belgian players who have previously represented Barcelona, including Thomas Vermaelen and Fernand Goyvaerts.
