Barcelona Target Inter Star Federico Dimarco for Next Summer

Barcelona has reportedly placed Inter’s Federico Dimarco on its radar for next summer, according to several Spanish media outlets.

The 28-year-old Italy international began his professional career at Inter and spent only the 2017-18 period abroad, with Swiss club Sion. He also went on loan to Ascoli, Empoli, Parma and Verona during his time with the Italian club.

Dimarco’s Inter contract expires next June, although it contains an option to extend it for another season. He said he was honored to attract interest from major European clubs, while making clear that Inter remains central to his story.

Dimarco was named Serie A’s best footballer last season, when Inter won the league convincingly. He scored eight goals and supplied 18 assists in 47 appearances. He has also played 38 matches for Italy and scored three goals.
