Croatian fighter Roberto Soldić signs with UFC, set for October debut

Roberto Soldić has signed with the UFC and will make his debut in the world’s leading mixed martial arts organization on October 3.

The Croatian fighter reached the agreement after ending his partnership with ONE Championship. His first UFC appearance will come at UFC 332 in Salt Lake City, where he will try to prove that he can compete at the highest level of the sport.

Soldić’s move also carries importance for Croatian MMA. Excluding fighters from the Croatian diaspora, including Stipe Miočić, Bruno Peričić and David Erceg, he is expected to become the seventh Croatian fighter with a UFC contract.

Mirko Filipović, Igor Pokrajac, Goran Reljić, Filip Pejić, Ante Delija and Ivan Erslan previously represented Croatia in the organization. Soldić now has a new opportunity to establish himself on the sport’s biggest stage, while Croatia could gain another fighter among the world’s elite.
