Bariloche del Este: A New '15-Minute City' Development Emerges in Patagonia

A significant real estate development, Bariloche del Este, is underway in Argentina's Patagonia, aiming to redefine urban living with a "15-minute city" concept. This ambitious project seeks to provide residents with access to all daily necessities, from work and education to shopping and healthcare, within a short walk or bike ride.

The development, inspired by urbanist Carlos Moreno's global concept, is situated on 132 hectares with views of Nahuel Huapi Lake and the Andes Mountains. It is designed as an integrated urban district, the first of its kind in Bariloche in nearly a century. The master plan encompasses residential areas, commercial spaces, educational and health facilities, and public amenities, establishing a new central hub within the city.

Bariloche del Este's strategic location offers proximity to Bariloche's city center, airport, and the Cerro Catedral ski resort. Beyond its geographical advantages, the project emphasizes year-round living and community integration. The initial phase, Los Principios Etapa Norte, features 118 lots ranging from 300 to 700 square meters, with prices starting at $36,000 USD, reflecting the growing demand for permanent housing in the Patagonian region.
