Batam Officials Present 2025 Budget Accountability Report, City Earns 14th Straight Audit Opinion

Batam Mayor Amsakar Achmad and Deputy Mayor Li Claudia Chandra presented the draft regional regulation on the accountability of the 2025 Regional Budget to the DPRD. The city government successfully maintained an Unqualified Opinion (WTP) from the Supreme Audit Agency for the 14th consecutive year, a feat highlighted by DPRD Chairman Muhammad Kamaluddin.

Amsakar stated that presenting the draft regulation is mandated by law. The financial report for 2025, audited by the Supreme Audit Agency's Riau Islands representative, was officially submitted on June 2, 2026. He affirmed that the financial statements adhere to Government Accounting Standards, with adequate disclosures, legal compliance, and effective internal controls.

The 2025 budget targeted Rp 4.29 trillion in revenue, with Rp 4.14 trillion realized (96.48%). Local revenue reached Rp 2.25 trillion (95.29%), transfer revenue Rp 1.88 trillion (97.92%), and other legitimate regional revenues Rp 10.71 billion (101.29%).

Total regional spending was Rp 4.43 trillion, with Rp 4 trillion realized (90.44%). This included Rp 3.19 trillion for operational spending (91.58%), Rp 516.43 billion for capital spending (79.98%), Rp 445.54 million for unexpected spending, and Rp 290.15 billion for transfer spending (107.15%).

The budget recorded a surplus of Rp 137.91 billion. Despite the WTP opinion, the Batam City Government remains committed to following all recommendations from the Supreme Audit Agency.
