Batida continues its winning run with record dressage entries and a spectacular show-jumping final

Batida has added another large event to an already busy Croatian equestrian season. The club hosted the final of its dressage and show-jumping cup, marking its ninth competition since the season began.

The dressage programme set a Croatian record for the number of starts and also included the final of the Batida Cup and the fourth round of the Croatia Cup. The show-jumping competition drew more than 170 rider-horse pairs, including Lea Djelmić, a participant in the World Championships in Aachen, alongside a long list of Croatian competitors.

The tournament’s main event was the 1.35-metre show-jumping final, held over two rounds. Sinj riders swept the podium: Josip Jadrijević won, Andrija Hrgović placed second and Denis Gugić finished third.

The judging team was led by Croatian Equestrian Federation President Professor Zdravka Poljaković, an international judge in the highest category. Batida will host the national show-jumping championships in all categories from September 24 to 27. The national championship is returning to the capital after five years.

Batida is among Croatia’s leading clubs by the number of competitions it organises. Together with sports equestrian club SEM, it is scheduled to organise 17 competitions this year, supported by several commercial and sporting partners.
