Bauchi First Lady Unveils N80 Million Empowerment Package for Women

Bauchi State First Lady Aisha Mohammed has launched a significant empowerment initiative valued at over 80 million naira to support women across the state. The program, unveiled on Sunday, includes the distribution of bags of cassava, aiming to enhance livelihoods and strengthen household incomes.

This initiative underscores the First Lady's commitment to fostering economic independence among women in Bauchi. According to a statement from her press secretary, Zainab Garba, the interventions are designed to promote women's welfare and dignity at the grassroots level.

In a related development, the APM governorship candidate, Yakubu Adamu, reportedly donated 5 million naira to women from all 20 local government areas. This contribution is meant to assist with transportation costs as they return to their communities. Both interventions highlight the perceived importance of supporting women as vital contributors to families, communities, and the overall development of Bauchi State.
