Bayern Munich defeats Jeju 2-1, showcasing superior skill

German powerhouse Bayern Munich showcased their superior skill, securing a 2-1 victory over South Korean side Jeju United in the Audi Football Summit 2026 friendly match. The encounter took place at the Jeju World Cup Stadium.

Jeju United drew first blood in the 11th minute. Felipe Chaves capitalized on a defensive lapse within the penalty area, striking the ball with his left foot to find the back of the net. Jeju, who had been on a six-game unbeaten streak in the league since the North and Central America World Cup 2026 break, showed resilience.

Their equalizer came just four minutes later. Aias skillfully penetrated the right side of the penalty box and passed to Lee Chang-min, who calmly finished with his left foot in front of the goal. However, the joy of leveling the score was short-lived for Jeju.

In the 40th minute, Bayern Munich's promising young talent, 2010-born Bastian Asamoah, scored the decisive goal. Asamoah curled a right-footed shot from the edge of the penalty area into Jeju's net, sealing the win for the German club. Bayern Munich's South Korean national team defender, Kim Min-jae, captained the team during the match.
