BCA Syariah begins construction of first mosque 'Ar-Rahman' as part of nationwide initiative

BCA Syariah has officially begun the construction of its first mosque, named Masjid Ar-Rahman, in Aceh Tamiang, Indonesia. This marks a significant step in the bank's commitment to community development and religious infrastructure.

The Ar-Rahman mosque is the inaugural project in the "99 Asmaul Husna Mosques" program, a nationwide initiative by Cinta Quran Foundation in collaboration with Masjid Nusantara, with BCA Syariah serving as the official bank partner. The program, launched on July 12, 2026, aims to establish mosques across Indonesia, fostering community growth and economic development, particularly in post-disaster areas.

Located in Desa Pematang Durian, Aceh Tamiang, the mosque is intended to be more than just a place of worship. BCA Syariah envisions it as a hub for religious education, social interaction, and economic empowerment for the local community. This initiative is seen as a tangible demonstration of the company's brand proposition, "Sahabat Berkahmu" (Your Blessing Friend), reflecting a long-term commitment to supporting societal well-being.

Mia R Amalia, Business Head of Funding, Services & Marcomm at BCA Syariah, highlighted the program's role in spreading blessings throughout Indonesia and ensuring access to proper worship facilities. She emphasized that the bank's contribution extends beyond physical construction, aiming to create a sustainable ecosystem that strengthens the community's faith and resilience. BCA Syariah and its partners plan to implement further programs focused on education and economic advancement to ensure the mosque becomes a beacon of community development.
