Behind Subsidized Fertilizer Deliveries, F5 and F6 Reports Track the Supply Chain

When subsidized fertilizer reaches farmers, a long administrative process has already taken place. The product moves through shipping, receipt, storage and distribution, and each stage must be recorded and monitored.

For farmers, the most visible moment comes when fertilizer becomes available for use. Behind that point, however, information must follow the product through the supply chain. Distribution involves not only moving goods from a factory to a destination, but also recording where the goods are and how much has moved.

That system includes the F5 and F6 reports. F5 records the recap of fertilizer distributed from PUD to PPTS. It shows how much fertilizer moved during a given period and provides data for checking whether the recorded quantity matches the amount that should have been delivered.

F6 covers the next stage, recording stock levels at PPTS and fertilizer distributed from PPTS to farmers. Once fertilizer arrives at PPTS, distribution is not complete. It still must reach farmers, making records of available stock and completed deliveries necessary for monitoring the process.
