Behind the Scenes of "Star Duets": Two Shows a Day and Rehearsals in the Corridors

The beloved Lithuanian music competition "Žvaigždžių duetai" (Star Duets) is back on LNK for a new season, promising more entertainment and musical showdowns. After reaching 1.45 million viewers last season, the show is raising the stakes with nine new duets ready to vie for audience and jury favor.

This season's lineup features a blend of seasoned Lithuanian music professionals and other well-known personalities. The show's format, as demonstrated by last year's winners Dainotas Varnas and Tadas Kanapeckas-Varkė Labdara, values not just vocal ability but also the capacity to create a compelling show, surprise the audience, and reveal unexpected sides on stage.

Among the contestants is singer Katažina Zvonkuvienė, who previously participated in 2016 and secured third place. "I remember participating in this project in 2016 and we took third place then," she said. "I haven't participated in projects for a while, but now I feel rested and ready to give the audience a celebration. I am very happy that Ričardas will be my partner on stage. I always dreamed of having a brother, so at least this dream will come true in this project," she added with a laugh.

For LNK show host Adomas Grinius, the project presents a significant challenge. "I don't really trust my musical abilities, but why not try? Another very fun challenge awaits," he stated. "I probably won't start singing well suddenly, but the opportunity to try and experience such a challenge on stage is tempting. The most important thing is that I will have a wonderful partner, Sandra. She is Spanish, so we are both always late everywhere, but we are always smiling. Maybe not everything will go perfectly, but we can promise a lot of energy," Grinius shared.

The show's hosts will be actors Giedrius Savickas and Toma Vaškevičiūtė, with the jury comprising notable figures from the entertainment industry.
