Belgium Braces for Heatwave as Temperatures Set to Exceed 30°C

Belgium is set to experience significantly warmer weather this week, with temperatures predicted to climb above 30°C. The Royal Meteorological Institute (IRM) forecasts a shift from Monday's changeable conditions to increasing sunshine.

Monday's forecast indicates a mix of clouds and potential scattered showers, particularly in the eastern and northern parts of the country. However, conditions are expected to improve throughout the afternoon, with clear skies and sunshine gradually spreading from the west.

The sky will initially be changeable to very cloudy with the possibility of some showers in the east and north of the country.

Residents in coastal regions can look forward to a pleasant, sunny afternoon. Maximum temperatures across the country will vary, reaching around 19°C in the High Ardennes, 23°C in the central regions, and up to 25°C in areas closer to the French border.

The wind will be moderate, blowing from the west to northwest. As the week progresses, temperatures are expected to rise further, potentially exceeding the 30°C mark in many areas, signaling the arrival of a significant heatwave.

The maxima will range between 19°C in the high Ardennes, 23°C in the center of the country and 25°C in the regions near France.
