Belgrade Waterfront begins sales for first building on former fairgrounds

Belgrade Waterfront has launched a marketing campaign for "BW Riva," the first residential building announced for the controversial expansion project. The building is slated for construction on the current site of the Belgrade Fair.

The company states the "BW Riva" building will be situated along the riverfront, surrounded by greenery and near planned amenities like an opera house, yacht club, and promenade. According to Belgrade Waterfront's website, the building will feature 21 floors, 179 apartments, and 214 parking spaces. Residents will have access to a spa and wellness center with an indoor pool, sunbathing area, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, and massage room, as well as a gym, yoga studio, and outdoor exercise zone.

The "BW Riva" building is positioned near the New Railway Bridge, behind Hall 5 of the Belgrade Fair. This hall currently hosts "EXPO Playground," promoting the international exhibition EXPO 2027, which prompted the relocation of the Belgrade Fair.

The sales event for "BW Riva" is scheduled for June 19 at the new "BW Marina" sales center at the fairgrounds. This new facility is described as a temporary, modular structure for exhibitions. The relocation of the Belgrade Fair to Surčin was announced after Belgrade was chosen to host EXPO 2027, sparking speculation about the expansion of the Belgrade Waterfront project into the fair's current location. The new "Marina Belgrade Waterfront" residential complex is planned for the site, extending the project from Branko's Bridge to Ada Ciganlija.
