Benito Juárez scholarships: June payments begin for Mexican students

Mexican students enrolled in various scholarship programs will receive their bi-monthly payments throughout the week of June 22 to June 26, 2026. The disbursements are part of the national "Becas Benito Juárez" initiative, managed by the Secretariat of Public Education (SEP) and the National Coordination of Scholarships for Benito Juárez Well-being (CNBBBJ).

This payment covers the May-June period for beneficiaries of the Universal Benito Juárez Scholarship (for upper secondary education), the "Young People Writing the Future" Higher Education Scholarship, and the "Gertrudis Bocanegra" Transport Support Scholarship. Each program aims to provide financial aid to students in public institutions, enabling them to continue and complete their education.

In line with the program's procedures, payments are being distributed in a staggered manner, determined by the first letter of each student's surname. The schedule for the week is as follows: Monday, June 22 (M); Tuesday, June 23 (N, Ñ, O, P, Q); Wednesday, June 24 (R); Thursday, June 25 (S); and Friday, June 26 (T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z).

Funds are deposited directly onto the beneficiaries' "Banco del Bienestar" cards. Students can withdraw cash commission-free at any branch of the bank, use the card for purchases, or monitor their balance via the bank's mobile application. As of 2026, the scholarship amounts are 1,900 pesos bi-monthly for the Benito Juárez and Gertrudis Bocanegra scholarships, and 5,800 pesos bi-monthly for the "Young People Writing the Future" scholarship.
