Benjamin Clementine to perform in Vilnius tonight; concert details revealed

Benjamin Clementine, known for his unconventional approach to the music industry, is set to deliver an intimate performance in Vilnius tonight. Keeping details under wraps until the last moment, the artist will appear solo on the grand stage of Lukiškės Prison, accompanied only by a white piano.

This marks Clementine's first such solo performance in Vilnius. The unique setting of Lukiškės Prison will host what is promised to be the most authentic and personal version of Benjamin Clementine. Notably, the stage itself has been customized to a specific color requested by the artist, adding another layer to the bespoke experience.

Opening the evening will be Lithuanian singer-songwriter Barbora Matuzaitė, whose music is described as melancholic and inspired by 70s folk. Matuzaitė expressed her honor in sharing the stage with Clementine, stating, "No matter what boundaries define music genres, in the end, there remains emotion and some untamable inner strength. That is precisely what, in my eyes, is embodied in Benjamin Clementine's work and his voice." Her performance will feature only her voice and guitar, aiming to express what cannot always be put into words.

Benjamin Clementine is no stranger to the Lithuanian audience, with each of his past performances in Vilnius offering a distinct experience. His live renditions are often compared to monologues, prayers, or even short plays. The connection between Clementine and his Lithuanian listeners has grown stronger with each visit since his first performance in 2016. The organizers, "8 Days A Week" music agency, noted that despite the years and many life events, Clementine never repeats himself, making each concert eagerly anticipated.

Clementine is currently working on a new album, "Sir Introvert and the Featherweights," and recently released the single "Pizza Mind." The song playfully critiques modern passivity, transforming "peace of mind" into "pizza mind" to question how much people are truly willing to strive for inner freedom. This year, Clementine has a limited schedule, with only six concerts announced worldwide, making the Vilnius performance a particularly special event.
