Benriffs Wins 'Kiekie Unscripted Experience' Finale, Takes Home SUV

The inaugural season of the 'Kiekie Unscripted Experience' (KUE), a variety show designed to highlight diverse creative talents, culminated in a grand finale where musical artist Benjamin Omosivie, professionally known as Benriffs, emerged as the winner. Omosivie secured the top prize, a brand-new Mikano 2025 SUV, the Changan CS15.

The journey to the finale commenced in 2024 with auditions that attracted a vast pool of Nigerian creatives, including singers, actors, spoken-word poets, and amateur cooks. The show officially premiered in 2025, kicking off with a lavish, celebrity-themed costume premiere. The season finale, held at the Mikano Cube in Victoria Island, featured two main competitive segments: the Big Stage Competition for spoken-word poets and actors vying for ₦2.5 million, and the Performance Challenge Segment where 17 singers competed for the SUV.

Hosted by comedian Otolorin Peter, also known as Kenny Blaq, and KUE creator Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori (Kiekie), the finale's format placed the contestants' fates in the hands of industry experts and influencers selected as judges. In the Big Stage Competition, a close tie between spoken-word poets Ayomi Wright and Baba Soja was resolved in a rematch, with Wright ultimately winning by a narrow margin.

The Performance Challenge Segment showcased a diverse range of musical genres, from afrobeats and rap to R&B, hip hop, and gospel. Each of the 17 singers delivered unique performances, with notable acts including Eniola's rendition of 'Proud Mary' and Grace's gospel performance. Benriffs and fellow singer King Steve stood out as the top two performers, impressing the judges with their vocal prowess, stage presence, and audience connection. King Steve was awarded ₦2.5 million as the first runner-up. In a culinary segment earlier concluded, the top four chefs each received ₦500,000.
