Health researcher Bente Klarlund is sounding the alarm about fraudulent artificial intelligence advertisements that misuse her likeness. Klarlund reported on her Facebook profile that scammers are employing AI-generated videos to promote dubious arthritis and weight-loss medications. These deceptive advertisements falsely associate her with the products, misleading the public.

The fraudulent campaigns have reached a significant scale, with Klarlund stating that at least 100 individuals have contacted her concerning these advertisements. The AI-generated videos often feature Klarlund alongside Johnny Hansen, the lead singer of the Danish band Kandis, further adding to the deception. This misuse of AI technology highlights a growing problem of sophisticated online scams that exploit recognizable public figures to gain credibility and deceive consumers into purchasing ineffective or potentially harmful products.
