Berlin Mayor Praises Response After Deadly Attack at CSD Event

Berlin's Governing Mayor Kai Wegner lauded the swift response of police, rescue workers, and Christopher Street Day (CSD) organizers after a suspected Islamist-motivated attack occurred on the sidelines of the Pride event. The incident saw a car driven into a crowd, followed by further assaults with a machete-like weapon.

He also commended the CSD organizers, stating that the smooth progression of the event and the absence of panic were partly due to the excellent cooperation between the police and the CSD association.
