Beşiktaş coach proud despite final series loss

Beşiktaş GAİN concluded their Türkiye Sigorta Basketball Super League playoff final series with a loss to Fenerbahçe Beko, securing the second-place finish for the season. Despite the defeat, head coach Dusan Alimpijevic expressed immense pride in his team's journey and their achievements throughout the year.

Alimpijevic highlighted the significant progress Beşiktaş has made, stating, "When I came here a few years ago, we were in a place I couldn't have imagined. Now, we have reached the pinnacle of Turkish basketball. We played in finals in all competitions and became one of the best clubs."

The coach also extended special recognition to the team's dedicated fanbase. "These fans are very special," he said, noting his surprise at the packed arena twice in three days. "They came again and gave everything. They supported us. This is a testament to how well the Beşiktaş family is represented."

Reflecting on his players' efforts, Alimpijevic emphasized their sacrifices. "I am proud of all my players from the bottom of my heart. Today, I especially congratulate the 4 players who played injured despite all the risks. I am proud of all of them." He also congratulated Fenerbahçe Beko and their coach, Sarunas Jasikevicius, whom he described as "the best coach in Europe."
