Beşiktaş makes surprise move for Sassuolo winger Armand Lauriente

Turkish football club Beşiktaş is making a significant move to strengthen its squad by targeting Armand Lauriente, a winger currently playing for Italy's Sassuolo. The club is reportedly showing serious interest in the French player, who was previously linked with Beşiktaş during the last summer transfer window.

According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, Beşiktaş officials have contacted Sassuolo regarding the 27-year-old star. However, negotiations are expected to be challenging, as Lauriente recently extended his contract with the Serie A club until June 2029. This new deal significantly strengthens Sassuolo's position at the negotiating table.

Beşiktaş is reportedly prepared to make financial sacrifices to secure the transfer, with club president Serdal Adalı keen on bringing Lauriente, who has also been a target for Trabzonspor in the past, to the team. The player's potential arrival could be a major boost for Beşiktaş's ambitions.

Last season, Lauriente demonstrated his attacking prowess for Sassuolo, becoming a key player in their Serie A campaign. He appeared in 38 league matches, scoring 7 goals and providing 9 assists, directly contributing to 16 goals. He also played one match in the Italian Cup, though he did not register any goals or assists in that competition.
