Beşiktaş slams 'disgraceful' refereeing after Alanyaspor loss

Beşiktaş football club has vehemently protested the refereeing in their recent 1-0 defeat against Alanyaspor, labeling the officials' performance a "disgrace" to Turkish refereeing. The club issued a scathing statement expressing deep dissatisfaction with what they perceive as consistently unfair decisions throughout the season.

In their official statement, Beşiktaş declared, "The management shown by the referees in the match we played against Corendon Alanyaspor has taken its place in history as a certificate of disgrace for Turkish refereeing." The club specifically targeted referee Adnan Deniz Kayatepe and VAR official Bülent Birincioğlu, accusing them of "malicious intent."

Several key incidents from the match were highlighted. Beşiktaş claims an opponent struck a player with an open hand in front of the global audience, a foul that Kayatepe allegedly missed. Furthermore, a goal scored by Beşiktaş was disallowed after an opposing player theatrically fell to the ground, leading Kayatepe to revoke the goal. The club also pointed to a situation where a player was allegedly fouled inside the penalty area but Kayatepe ignored the incident.

"We do not want to see malicious referees like Adnan Deniz Kayatepe and Bülent Birincioğlu in our matches again," the statement read. Beşiktaş emphasized that they are not seeking any special advantages but demand "fair and equal officiating." The club vowed to continue their "righteous struggle" until this "unjust system" is changed, signaling a prolonged dispute over officiating standards.
