Betamek Berhad Eyes Expansion, Operational Efficiency

Betamek Berhad is strategically positioning itself for sustained growth by focusing on expanding its customer reach beyond its primary clients. The company also intends to bolster its operational efficiency and ramp up investments in innovation, crucial elements for its long-term development.

Executive Director Muhammad Fauzi Abd Ghani emphasized the company's commitment to reinforcing its core competencies and actively pursuing new avenues that promise to broaden Betamek's revenue potential. This strategic direction was reinforced by the strong support from shareholders at the company's fifth Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Shareholders endorsed all proposals presented at the AGM, including the distribution of a final single-tier dividend of 1.25 sen per share for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026. This dividend is scheduled for payment on October 12, 2026, to shareholders on record as of October 1, 2026.

Furthermore, the shareholders granted the Board of Directors the authority to repurchase up to 10 percent of the company's issued shares. This move, subject to the Companies Act 2016 and Bursa Malaysia listing requirements, provides Betamek with an additional tool for capital management, allowing it to adapt to market conditions and company interests. Betamek operates as an original design manufacturer (ODM) and electronic manufacturing services (EMS) provider, with a significant focus on the automotive and industrial sectors.
