Big Brother Africa ex-housemate Bayo Okoh dies

Former Big Brother Africa housemate Bayo Okoh has died, his passing announced on Saturday by media personality Matilda Duncan. Duncan shared the news on social media but did not disclose the cause or circumstances of Okoh's death.

Expressing her sorrow, Duncan lamented the ongoing deaths within the entertainment industry, writing, "Please God, what is happening? This is too much, one death after another. I am so sorry. This part is called death. It’s the worst."

Okoh, an economist, represented Nigeria in the inaugural 2003 season of Big Brother Africa. He was the only Nigerian contestant that year and spent 91 days in the reality show, finishing seventh among 12 housemates. His participation occurred during the show's first season across the continent, which helped establish reality television in Africa.

As of the time of reporting, Okoh's family had not released an official statement regarding the cause of his death.
