Bilbao Engineer Missing in Venezuela Earthquakes

The search is on for Jon Sustacha Loygorri, a 69-year-old engineer from Bilbao, Spain, who is missing after devastating earthquakes struck Venezuela's northern coast. He was reportedly in his apartment building, 'Los Corsarios,' located in the 'ground zero' area of Playa Grande, which collapsed during the seismic events.

Family members have distributed a poster with Sustacha's photo and description in hopes of obtaining information about his whereabouts. The lack of contact has raised concerns for his safety.

In addition to Sustacha, efforts are underway to find María Coro Barriola, whose parents are from San Sebastián, Spain. She was in another building in La Guaira that also crumbled.

The earthquakes have claimed the life of Alazne Solabarrieta Lecea, 65, who was born in Caracas but had Basque heritage. Her body was found in the rubble. Her husband, Koldo Olalde Kintela, a fugitive associated with the group ETA, survived the collapse and was rescued with injuries.
