Bishkek arrests 'Bonnie and Clyde' drug ring with large narcotics haul

Bishkek authorities have successfully dismantled a significant drug trafficking operation with the arrest of a couple who had adopted the notorious moniker "Bonnie and Clyde." The arrested individuals, a man born in 1995 and a woman born in 1999, were allegedly key players in an online drug marketplace. The discovery of nearly 2.3 kilograms of drugs, with an estimated street value of up to 12 million Kyrgyz soms (approximately $135,000 USD), represents a major success for law enforcement.
