Minor Detained in Bishkek for Drug Distribution

Bishkek law enforcement has taken decisive action against drug trafficking, apprehending a young individual involved in the illicit trade. The arrest, which occurred on April 12th, highlights the ongoing efforts by the General Directorate of Internal Affairs of Bishkek to combat the spread of narcotics within the capital.

The suspect, identified only as N.K. and born in 2007, was caught in the act of distributing drugs through the notorious "dead drop" method at the intersection of Tuleberdiyev and Vasilyev streets. This method, where drugs are hidden for buyers to retrieve, is a common tactic used by drug dealers to minimize direct contact and evade law enforcement.

This operation led to the initiation of a criminal case under Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, which deals with the illegal manufacture, distribution, and sale of narcotic substances. The police emphasize that the illegal circulation of drugs is a serious crime with severe legal consequences, underscoring their commitment to maintaining public safety and order.
