Bishkek Building Inspected After Facade Damaged by Strong Winds

Specialists from the Ministry of Construction have inspected a residential building in Bishkek after strong winds on June 10 caused partial damage to its facade. The inspection followed a viral social media video in which residents voiced concerns about the quality of construction and the safety of the building located at Abai Street, 40.

The Ministry of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services reported that the building was constructed by "Emmark" and "Turpan Stroy" companies and was commissioned in 2016.

Following the site inspection, the developers have been issued official directives to rectify the identified deficiencies. The companies are required to promptly repair the damaged facade sections and implement additional safety measures in the surrounding area.

The Department of State Architectural and Construction Control is monitoring the implementation of these directives. The ministry emphasized that issues related to the quality and safety of construction projects are under special scrutiny, and measures will be taken against responsible parties in accordance with the law if violations are discovered.
