Bishkek demolishes over 80 structures for World Nomad Games preparations

Bishkek is clearing more than 4,000 square meters of municipal land along Muromskaya Street, involving the demolition of over 80 light structures. This extensive clearance is a crucial step in the capital's preparation for a major renovation of the street.

The project is directly linked to the upcoming VI World Nomad Games, which will commence with an opening ceremony on August 31. The city administration has engaged with the owners of the affected businesses, who operate over 40 economic entities on the cleared land.

According to the Bishkek mayor's office, the owners have been receptive to the city's plans. Approximately 30 business owners have already voluntarily dismantled their structures, facilitating the smooth progression of the land clearing operations. The municipality has not yet detailed the specific plans for the cleared area beyond its role in the street's capital repair.

The VI World Nomad Games will be held at the newly constructed Bishkek Arena, located in the western part of the city. The ongoing demolition and land preparation underscore the city's commitment to hosting the international event.
