Bishkek faces three-hour cold water outage on June 16

Several districts in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, will face a temporary disruption in cold water supply on June 16. The municipal enterprise Bishkekvodokanal announced that the interruptions are expected to last for three hours, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The affected areas include residential buildings, schools, preschools, healthcare facilities, and various industrial sites. Specifically, the outage will impact locations along the Ala-Archa River, the railway line, Zhibek Zholu, Manas, and Deng Xiaoping Avenues, Molodaya Gvardiya Boulevard, and several streets including Frunze, Bokonbaev, Kuliev, Moskovskaya, Pishpekskaya, Fuchik, and Kazakov.

Bishkekvodokanal stated that the reason for the temporary shutdown is essential maintenance work scheduled at the Zapad-2 water intake facility. The enterprise extended its apologies to the affected organizations and residents for any inconvenience caused by the disruption.

Residents and organizations in the specified areas are advised to stock up on drinking water in advance to mitigate the impact of the three-hour outage. The maintenance is necessary to ensure the continued reliable operation of the city's water supply system.
