Bishkek Thermal Power Plant Repairs Underway for Winter Readiness

Bishkek's thermal power plant is undergoing extensive repairs to ensure a stable energy supply for the upcoming 2026/2027 autumn-winter season. The city's press service reported that preparations are in full swing, focusing on both primary and auxiliary equipment, as well as the plant's infrastructure.

The repair campaign includes work on boiler units numbered 12, 14, and 23, along with routine maintenance on boiler unit 16. For the turbine equipment, five turbo-generators (units 5, 8, 9, 10, and 11) are scheduled for current repairs. Additionally, the capital repair of turbo-generator unit 7, which began in 2025, will be completed this year. The plant will also conduct current repairs on power units 3 and 4, alongside maintenance of its thermal equipment.

These planned activities are designed to ensure the technical readiness of the power plant's equipment to handle maximum loads throughout the heating season. The city administration confirmed that all repair work is proceeding according to approved timelines and production plans, aiming to prevent any disruptions in heat and electricity for Bishkek's residents.
