Black Hanifah says Hazama is his only close friend

For Black Hanifah, friendship in show business is not measured by the number of contacts a person can collect. The Malaysian singer says the real test is knowing who can be trusted away from the cameras.

After years in the entertainment industry, Black, 39, says he has become more careful about deciding who belongs in his inner circle. He names Hazama as his only close friend.

Black’s caution, however, does not mean he finds it difficult to make friends or holds hostility toward fellow artists. His point is that public familiarity and genuine trust are not necessarily the same thing.
