Blue Demon Jr. Announces Farewell Tour After 41-Year Wrestling Career

After four decades as a celebrated icon of Mexican Lucha Libre, Blue Demon Jr. has announced his retirement tour, "The Last Tour." This farewell journey will take him through various cities across Mexico, accompanied by other wrestling figures, marking the end of a distinguished career in the sport.

Joined by his son and nephew, both also wrestlers, Blue Demon Jr. confirmed that notable figures such as Octagón, L.A. Park, Canek Jr., Dr. Wagner, and Cibernético are slated to appear on special event cards during his farewell. "After 41 years as a wrestler, I have decided to begin the final tour, a year that will feature normal shows, and in each city, I will be saying goodbye to bring it to a close," Blue Demon Jr. stated at a press conference. He plans to hold three or four shows in cities like Monterrey, Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Tijuana, the latter being where his career began.

"My life has been this sport, the blows, the wrestling, but now I want to be a human being who goes unnoticed, and let the character live on in your memory," he added. With evident emotion, Blue Demon Jr. confessed, "It's a celebration of 41 years, and it seems sad, and it is, because it's difficult to say goodbye and leave what has been my life, but my body is also telling me to slow down, and I want to spend more time with my family."

In addition to the tour, Blue Demon Jr. officially presented his book, "El Último Demonio" (The Last Demon). Written by Oscar Fernández, the biographical novel delves into difficult moments in Blue Demon Jr.'s life and reveals the more human side of the person behind the mask. The legendary wrestler shared his emotional reaction to the book, stating, "I didn't get past the first four pages without crying."
