BMKG Forecasts Clear Skies Across Jakarta on Monday

Clear skies are expected across all of Jakarta on Monday, according to Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency, or BMKG.

The forecast covers the capital’s six administrative areas, from the Thousand Islands to East Jakarta. The Thousand Islands are expected to see temperatures around 28 degrees Celsius, with humidity between 64% and 73%.

Central Jakarta is forecast to range from 26 to 33 degrees Celsius, while North Jakarta is expected to reach between 26 and 31 degrees. West Jakarta will record lows of 25 degrees and highs of 33 degrees, with humidity ranging from 39% to 68%.

South Jakarta and East Jakarta are forecast to share the highest maximum temperature, reaching 34 degrees Celsius. Both areas are expected to have minimum temperatures of 25 degrees. Humidity is forecast at 34% to 70% in South Jakarta and 33% to 70% in East Jakarta.

Despite the generally sunny forecast, BMKG urged residents to remain alert to extreme weather that could develop suddenly. It advised the public to check the latest information through the Info BMKG app, the agency’s website and its social media channel, @info.bmkg.
