BNI Provides Health Services and Trauma Healing for NTT Earthquake Victims

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) is actively supporting communities affected by recent earthquakes in Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT), Indonesia, by providing essential services including healthcare and trauma healing. The bank's initiative aims to address the multifaceted needs of the population during the critical emergency and recovery periods.

BNI has established "BNI Berbagi BUMN Peduli NTT" (BNI Shares BUMN Cares for NTT) posts in various locations, such as the Berdikari Field in Mbay. These posts offer a range of services, including medical examinations, trauma healing facilities, temporary shelters, access to clean water, and logistical support. The bank emphasizes a phased approach to aid distribution, adapting to the evolving situation on the ground.

Aid will continue to be distributed in stages, adjusting to the developing needs in the field. Through health services, trauma healing, and support for other basic needs, we hope that the affected communities can receive the support they need during the emergency response and recovery process.

Okki Rushartomo, Corporate Secretary of BNI, stated that the bank's efforts are designed to respond to the community's needs incrementally. "Aid will continue to be distributed in stages, adjusting to the developing needs in the field," Rushartomo explained. He added that the provision of health services and trauma healing is particularly crucial for psychosocial recovery, especially for children and vulnerable groups, offering them a safe space for emotional support.

In addition to health and psychological support, BNI is also supplying basic necessities and ensuring access to clean water. Tents have been deployed in areas like Maumere, Kewapante, Ritapiret, Cibal, Ruteng, Borong, and Mbay to facilitate these services and provide temporary shelter. BNI is committed to ongoing coordination with regional governments and relevant parties to guarantee that the assistance provided is effective and beneficial, conducting regular evaluations to determine future support measures.
