BNI Strengthens HR Management Through Professional Certification and ISO Standards

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BNI, is enhancing its human resource management by operating its own Professional Certification Institute (LSP) and implementing international standards at its Corporate University. This strategic move aims to bolster the development of its workforce through a structured and internationally recognized framework.

The reinforcement of BNI's HR management was marked by the acquisition of a license for LSP BNI from the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP), ISO 21001:2018 certification, and a Letter of Compliance for ISO 30422:2022 for BNI Corporate University. These recognitions were officially conferred during a ceremony in Jakarta on August 6, 2026.

With its BNSP license, obtained on June 19, 2026, LSP BNI is now equipped to conduct professional, objective, independent, and accountable work competency certifications. Initially, LSP BNI offers seven certification schemes covering strategic areas such as general banking and internal audit, with plans to expand into fields like digital banking, artificial intelligence, risk management, and information technology in response to industry evolution.

Munadi Herlambang, BNI's Director of Human Capital & Compliance, emphasized the importance of LSP in ensuring that employee competency development is measurable and aligned with the banking industry's needs. He stated that LSP BNI serves as a crucial foundation for building competent human resources and strengthening corporate governance, ensuring that all BNI employees meet professional standards that support the company's business transformation. The ISO certifications further validate BNI Corporate University's systematic approach to learning and talent development, aligning with international best practices and learner needs.
