BNI Strengthens Stunting Prevention Program for Indonesia's Golden Generation 2045

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) is intensifying its stunting prevention efforts through a series of social initiatives planned for 2026. These actions are part of the company's commitment to enhancing child health and contributing to the vision of a Golden Indonesian Generation by 2045.

The program, executed through BNI's corporate social responsibility arm, BNI Berbagi, will span the entire year. It targets key areas including nutritional support, family education, sanitation improvements, and strengthening public health services. BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo stated that stunting prevention is a core focus for the company's social programs, recognizing the critical importance of the first 1,000 days of life for human resource quality.

"BNI believes every Indonesian child deserves a healthy start to life to grow and develop optimally," Okki said in a written statement coinciding with National Children's Day 2026. He stressed the need for collaboration among government, businesses, healthcare professionals, and the community to fulfill children's rights to health, nutrition, and proper care. BNI aims to bolster these partnerships to accelerate stunting reduction as part of its contribution to the 2045 Golden Generation goal.

Specific initiatives include the "Gerakan Orang Tua Asuh Cegah Stunting" (GENTING) or "Foster Parent Movement to Prevent Stunting" in Riau Province, conducted in partnership with the Ministry of Population and Family Planning/National Population and Family Planning Board. Additionally, BNI is implementing the "Program Desa Sehat Bebas Stunting" (Healthy Village Free from Stunting) in four villages in Pangalengan, Bandung Regency. This program integrates nutritional interventions with family education, sanitation upgrades, promotion of clean and healthy living behaviors, and improvements to living environments. This comprehensive approach aims to address stunting beyond just food aid, tackling environmental factors, parenting patterns, and access to healthcare.

These stunting prevention efforts also align with the spirit of Swadharma Bhakti Nagara for BNI's 80th anniversary.
