Boa Technology showcases 1mm-adjustable safety shoes at AI expo

Boa Technology presented its innovative Boa Fit System at the AI Safety and Health Expo held in Kintex, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. The system, which allows for precise 1mm adjustments, aims to enhance the fit and comfort of safety footwear for industrial workers.

The Boa Fit System is designed to finely tune the tightness of shoes according to the wearer's foot shape and movements. It evenly distributes pressure across the entire foot, increasing stability during long working hours. For workers who frequently put on and take off their footwear, the dial mechanism allows for quick and easy adjustments.

Precision fitting technology is a safety technology that securely fixes the worker's foot in an industrial field and reduces unnecessary movement.

At the expo, Boa Technology collaborated with major workwear brands such as Voldist, Blackyak I&C, K2 Safety, and DeWalt. Voldist displayed its 'Guardian 541' work shoe, featuring the Boa Fit System, thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) toe scuff, and a mesh upper for breathability. K2 Safety introduced its ultra-lightweight safety shoes, 'LT-121VDG' and 'LT-122VODG', highlighting their waterproof, insulating, anti-slip, and durable features, along with the dial system for uniform tightening.

Blackyak I&C exhibited the 'YAK-422D', designed for extended wear, with a 1mm bidirectional micro-adjustment function for secure foot fixation and reduced pressure. American tool company DeWalt also introduced its 'Durham' safety boots equipped with the Boa Fit System. Boa Technology stated that the system, developed through over 40,000 hours of testing, helps improve stability and work convenience in demanding industrial environments. The company plans to expand its safety shoe offerings through increased collaboration with domestic workwear brands.
