Boca Juniors will host Estudiantes de La Plata at the Tomás Adolfo Ducó stadium, home of Club Atlético Huracán, as their own iconic La Bombonera undergoes essential pitch recovery. The decision stems from ongoing work to repair and improve the drainage system following recent matches, including a Copa Sudamericana fixture against O'Higgins.

This marks the third occasion during Juan Román Riquelme's tenure as Boca's football vice president that the team has been forced to relocate its home games due to the state of the playing surface. The club aims to ensure the pitch is fully restored before returning to La Bombonera, especially with a busy schedule ahead. Boca will also debut its new home kit, featuring the traditional golden stripe with a light blue outline and the classic club crest.

Estudiantes, managed by Alexander Medina, confirmed their lineup with one change: Fabricio Iacovich will start in goal instead of Fernando Muslera due to illness.
