Body of 19-year-old woman recovered from Vilnius river

Emergency services in Vilnius, Lithuania, recovered the body of a 19-year-old woman from the Neris River on Saturday, June 29. The discovery was made around 10:30 AM after a caller reported seeing a body floating near the White Bridge.

Rescuers brought the woman's body to shore using a watercraft and handed it over to medical and police officials. Initial investigations suggest the woman, born in 2007, may have experienced a sudden illness or fallen into the river while running along the embankment. Her clothing reportedly indicated she was dressed for physical activity.
