Body of Boy Found Off Ganghwa Coast; No Fingerprints Left... Did it Drift from North Korea?

Authorities in Incheon are investigating the discovery of a decomposed body, presumed to be a boy, found floating in the waters off Jumun Island, Ganghwa County. The grim find was made on June 25th, but the severe state of decomposition has made identification a significant challenge for the police.

The body was found naked and had deteriorated to such an extent that visual identification and fingerprint collection were impossible. Investigators estimate the height of the male victim to be between 110-120 cm. However, no clues regarding age, identity, or other distinguishing physical characteristics have been found, complicating the investigation.

The Incheon Maritime Police have requested an autopsy from the National Forensic Service and are coordinating with military authorities. They are keeping all potential scenarios open, including the possibility that the body may have drifted from North Korea. The police are committed to a swift investigation to determine the victim's identity.
