Body of Vedat Karabulut, Swept Away by Sarım River, Found

The search for Vedat Karabulut, who disappeared after being swept away by the Sarım River in the Sağgöze Village Kaymaz mezrası, has concluded with the recovery of his body.

Karabulut had been picnicking with friends when he was carried away by the river. The search operation was coordinated by Bingöl AFAD and involved a significant number of personnel from AFAD teams from Tunceli, Elazığ, Diyarbakır, Erzurum, and Kahramanmaraş, alongside the Jandarma Search and Rescue (JAK), UMKE, and other institutions.

Over the course of the operation, approximately 135 individuals participated. The search initially covered a 20-kilometer stretch of the river. In recent days, efforts were intensified in the approximately 4-kilometer area downstream from where Karabulut was last seen entering the water.

On the day of the discovery, rescue teams located Vedat Karabulut's lifeless body. His remains were subsequently transported to the Forensic Medicine Institute for further examination.
