Bolivia's Tahuichi Stadium Ready for Night Games with New LED Lights

The Ramón 'Tahuichi' Aguilera stadium in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, is set to shine again with its newly installed LED lighting system, preparing to host night games. Following satisfactory tests, the departmental government has confirmed the stadium's readiness for both professional league matches and international competitions. Reyes Antelo, the departmental director of Sports, stated that the stadium is fully equipped to host games at any hour, pending official scheduling by the Bolivian Football Federation (FBF). "The Tahuichi will be in optimal condition for Sunday and also for playing at night. Whether they want to play at three in the afternoon, five, or seven in the evening, that depends on the coordination between the Federation and the club," Antelo said. He praised the collaborative effort within the Governorate, highlighting the synergy in executing improvements, including the electrical system and other stadium enhancements. The successful tests ensure the stadium can now host official matches, ending a period where teams like Blooming and Oriente Petrolero had to adjust their schedules due to lighting failures. Antelo expressed confidence that Oriente Petrolero could be the first club to utilize the renovated lighting when they host Nacional Potosí this Sunday. Jorge Franco, Director of Public Works, confirmed the electrical system's reliability, noting the new automated DMX technology allows for light shows during events. This rehabilitation is a key step in the stadium's overall renovation project, restoring a crucial element for hosting Bolivian football and CONMEBOL-sanctioned competitions.
