Boseman's brothers sue his widow over estate distribution

The brothers of the late actor Chadwick Boseman have initiated legal action against his widow, Taylor Simone Ledward, nearly six years after the "Black Panther" star's passing. The lawsuit, filed on behalf of Boseman's parents, Leroy and Carolyn Boseman, alleges that Ledward has not properly distributed the actor's estate as per a court ruling.

According to court documents, the brothers are seeking to have Ledward removed as the administrator of the estate and compelled to hand over the portion due to their parents. Boseman died intestate in 2020, with a court order stipulating that Ledward would receive half of his assets, while his parents would each receive a quarter.

However, the lawsuit claims that approximately $3.8 million in assets and cash have remained undivided despite a 2022 court order. The brothers further accuse Ledward of failing to account for royalty payments, image rights revenue, bank accounts, and other assets. They also contend that she has hindered business opportunities that could have benefited Boseman's elderly parents.

Taylor Simone Ledward has not yet publicly commented on the allegations. Chadwick Boseman passed away at the age of 43 on August 28, 2020, after a prolonged battle with colon cancer.
